Becoming an Allied Member of the Alabama Brewers Guild has definitely helped my firm not only stay relevant in the industry, but we have gained so many contacts throughout the state and in other industries as well. It truly is a great group of people, both brewers and allied members, and we have a blast at all of the events. I’ve not only gained clients, but some good friends through the organization.

Every few months, we help host a Guild Social Night somewhere in Alabama. These are social, non-business events where industry members can meet up and network. We invite brewing, distillery, and Allied Members, as well as non-member brewers.

As the host, you are entitled to exclusive branding for the event. You will also be credited in the notification emails leading up to the event.

We will gladly work with you to find the perfect venue and to organize the night. These are very popular events.

2020 Social Night Schedule (subject to change)

  • Tuesday, March 31 – Guild Social Night: Mobile
  • Wednesday, September 30 – Guild Social Night: Huntsville
  • Tuesday, November 17 – Guild Social Night: Birmingham
  • TBD – One additional Guild Social Night is Floating

By hosting a Social Night, I was able to see more than ten breweries in one area and buy them a beer without driving all over the state. It’s very difficult to find other marketing events where the dollar is stretched like this.

The Alabama Brewers Guild has allowed me to meet some truly talented people, brewers, and vendors that are passionate about their craft.  As a vendor, I look for a way to network with industry professionals in a relaxed but focused environment – the Guild provides this.  I look forward to the meetings where I always learn and meet someone new.  It is also very efficient as I can cover the entire state of Alabama in one room!

Join our Legislative Reception

Be a part of the effort to promote favorable industry legislation

The 2020 Craft Brewers Reception for lawmakers is tentatively scheduled for March 10.

Legislative advocacy is the biggest value proposition the Guild provides to our member breweries and distilleries, and our success over the years has led to tens of millions of dollars in new investment from Alabama’s craft brewing and distilling industry. Show your support for continuing legal reform in Alabama to help our industry members succeed.

The Craft Brewers Reception has become one of the most popular legislative social events of the year with large turnout from state lawmakers and legislative leadership. Our brewers enjoy meeting and mingling with their elected officials to help them understand the importance of our industry and the need for the regulatory structure to adapt.

By attending as an industry sponsor, you help our members communicate the broader economic impact of the local craft brewing industry.

Guidelines

  • Priority is given to suppliers involved in brewery equipment & service, ingredient sourcing, and local/regional companies
  • Tables should be attractive and showcase your industry
  • Hands-on displays and sample items are strongly encouraged
  • A representative must be present at the table throughout the event

Anyone involved in the craft beer industry has a stake in the Guild’s legislative work, and the Craft Brewers Reception is the main event where the industry meets directly with elected officials to advocate for a smart regulatory system. By participating in this event, our partners send a strong signal about their place in the industry
