Members,
Amended Curbside Rule
As discussed in this morning’s email, the ABC has amended the emergency rule on curbside pickup to the following limits:
- 1 liter of spirits
- 1.5 liters of wine (typically 2 750 mL bottles)
- 288 ounces of beer (1 CE)

City of Birmingham Shelter in Place
Mayor Woodfin has announced a plan to enact shelter-in-place in Birmingham. This is set to be voted on at 4:00 PM today, and it is expected to be approved by the Council. It may be amended slightly before adoption
City of BirminghamShelter-In-Place Ordinance
I have fielded many questions about whether this applies to breweries with no food service. According to federal guidelines, all food and drink manufacturing and retail operations are considered to be essential. However, these guidelines are not binding to state or local officials.
Unless there is more specific guidance, I think it is safe to assume you are essential. However, do not be surprised if they eventually specify that bars and breweries without food must shut down.
