6 of Alabama’s 7 members of Congress cosponsor the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act of 2015
As of December 18, the federal Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act of 2015 (H.R. 2903) has 156 cosponsors in the United States House of Representatives. This legislation is strongly supported by the Brewers Association as well as the Beer Institute and the National Beer Wholesalers Association.
Six of those cosponsors are from Alabama, including Representatives Bradley Byrne (R-AL-01), Martha Roby (R-AL-02), Mike Rogers (R-AL-03), Robert Aderholt (R-AL-04), Mo Brooks (R-AL-05), and Terri Sewell (D-AL-07). While this legislation has broad support across the country, Alabama is the leading state in the South for cosponsors and one of the leading states for cosponsors nationwide. We thank our delegation for meeting with our members and others from the beverage industry in Alabama.
HR 2903 would provide meaningful tax reform and reduce red tape at the federal level for American craft brewers as well as the wine, cider, and distilled spirits industries.
