Alabama State CapitolWe are pleased to announce that House Bill 355 has been introduced in the Alabama legislature. Sponsored by Representative Mike Ball, this important legislation would authorize breweries and brewpubs in Alabama to sell beer at their location for visitors to take home.

There is a brewery experience that visitors anticipate when traveling to a brewery. This experience often includes a tour of the facility, samples of the different beers, and the purchase of their favorite sample to take home to their place of origin. When the current set of alcohol laws were originally written, there were no microbreweries in Alabama. Local wineries in Alabama have been able to sell bottles out the door for decades, and HB355 would update Alabama law to account for Alabama’s growing brewing industry.
